TYPICAL DAY IN SIENA
Invitation to rise and shine with Yoga taught in italiano,
or sleep in and then join us for breakfast in the family room. This will be followed by Italian conversational classes that will prepare you to go 'In Giro per Siena;'
that is, to go on guided assignments that will put your Italian into action as you explore the traditional stores, backstreets, and hidden treasures of this magnificently preserved castle city/town!
Lunch can be enjoyed out and about or in the comfort of your own casa
, followed by time for a bella siesta
. There will then be the possibility of practicing Italian with a study group and new amici italiani,
indulging in a culinary class, or just enjoying a nice cappuccino
or bicchiere di vino
in the Piazza. On certain days there will also be the option of visiting nearby villages or joining us for a regional wine and cheese tasting.
Join the whole town for a passeggiata
around the Piazza or meet us for a little before dinner aperitivo
. Then tutti a tavola
(all to the table) for a traditional cena italiana
in our family room. At times we may invite our amici
from Siena to join us to all share stories. Then in the later evenings there will be many possibilities including the outdoor cinema in la Fortezza,
concerts at la Chigiana,
or a little live music preformed by us.
